If you are planning to register to practice medicine in the UK you are required to give the “Professional and Linguistic Assessments Boards” PLAB test. The doctors practicing medicine have to register themselves with the General Medical Council and need the license for the same. For international medical graduates, the application process includes giving the PLAB Test. The exam is aimed to ensure that the doctors that are qualified outside of the UK have the relevant knowledge and skill to practice medicine within the UK.

The schedule for the GMC PLAB 2 dates as of now are as follows:
PLAB2 Test Dates are scheduled in April – July 2021 However, later on, the GMC has also confirmed the following dates Available PLAB 2 Dates for the tests, to handle the growing demands:
March 2021: Additional places for tests in May, June, and July 2021 will be released, as well as new test dates in August and September 2021.
July 2021: PLAB 2 Test Dates for October, November, and December will open.
September 2021: PLAB Part 2 Dates for early 2022 will begin to be released.

How Many Times You Can Sit For Plab 2 Tests?
For the Plab 2 Tests, the candidate is eligible to take the tests for an additional attempt if he/she hasn’t passed even after 4 attempts. You may have completed 12-month clinical trial practice for the post-graduation qualification.
PLAB 2 Results dates are announced within four weeks of your test date. The candidates are supposed to work under registration with the UK within 3 years of passing their PLAB 2 Exams, otherwise, they have to take Plab 1 and Plab 2 again.
